More than 20 medical specialties are represented with practices in the MARE Klinikum, so as to provide medical care regionally and supra-regionally in a more efficient way. The doctors’ subspecialisations are an important criterion in this setting and guarantee high quality standards. In a clearly structured system of departments, patients can easily find the right specialist for their condition.
Central structures such as an imaging centre (digital radiography, interventional computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and bone densitometry), modern IT networks, a surgical tract with 6 theatres and digital technology, a rehab centre, and medical equipment shops are used synergistically in the centre.
MARE’s doctors are aiming to offer “one-stop shop” care, networked with each other and with the referring doctors, and thus provide patient centred care. They aim to make speedy and comprehensive diagnoses, avoid duplicate examinations, treat patients on an outpatient basis or as short-term inpatients, document, communicate, rehabilitate, and initiate preventive measures.
In the first 2 years since the MARE Klinikum opened, high satisfaction levels among patients have been reported, and the number of cases being treated at the centre has increased rapidly.
